Best English Speakers among Our Kind

Fruit from Finnish education
And internationalization:
Our English is the fifth best
From East to West
The top ones are Norway, The Netherlands
Denmark and Sweden, our neighbor lands (hs.fi)

To all these others
English is kin to the tongues of their mothers
Among all nations with a language of a different kind
We are the best you can ever find
We are the best in the whole wide world
In every sense of the word

SUMMARY (in Twitter):
Among all nations with a language of a totally different kind
We are the best English speakers you can ever find

Tracing the Roles of the PBL Tutor

With this book, we would like to tell
How we're using PBL
To give our students confidence
Providing them with competence
That goes beyond the content base
And carries through their career days

Helelä, Matti & Fagerholm, Harriet (2008).
Tracing the Roles of the PBL Tutor. A Journey of Learning. Haaga-Helia Publication Series. Discussion 10/2008. Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki.

Debate

Today we opened the gate
To the world of debate
With Anastasia as the chair
The discussion was fair

"All stakeholders win"
Claimed Sandra, Ville and Xin
They managed to defend Wal-Mart
Whether or not they spoke from their heart

Wal-Mart's staff mistreatment
Was the attackers' main argument
Maria, Lauri and Emilia
Were against the Wal-Mart mania

To my satisfaction
I recorded every reaction
Every planned move and improvisation
Was under Mau's observation

The defenders won
But everyone learned and had fun
We even laughed to tears
When the last comment tickled our ears

Trust Gives a Thurst

In education, it is trust
That gives a thrust
It creates a positive atmosphere
And learning can appear

Sharing the responsibility
Enhances the ability
To learn the knowledge and skills
That give the chills

See You In Class, If You Want To Pass

To learn the essence
Take care of your presence
Don't miss more than 20% at the most
So be there - don't be a ghost

In other words
In case you haven't heard
If you want to pass
Take your a.. to class

P.S. "a.." stands for "attendance" :)

Learning Philosophy

I wrote the following text into a blog about sales education on 10 October.

With this Study Manual, I would like to tell
How we're using PBL
To give our students confidence
Providing them with competence
That goes beyond the content base
And carries through their career days

The word is free, please share your views
We all would like to hear your news
What does learning mean to you?
What kind of learning is the clue?

Matti :)

P.S. Unlike mine, your words don't have to rhyme.
