This morning with a teary eye

I reviewed what had just gone by

It was still hard to understand

Yesterday in this land

At work we shared the feeling

Searching for some kind of healing

Trying to find some meaning

And to understand the human being

Could we widen our heart

And not keep so far apart?

Could we give more space

And show a friendly face?

How can we be there

When we don't seem to dare?
How could we beat the fear

When someone needs us near?
