From Calvary to Gambrini (Buy my book)
This is a true story of my journey from Calvary to Gambrini, as I remember it from the 1970s and 1980s.
Because I was bullied at school and I often felt very lonely, I needed an imaginary friend. At the age of fifteen, I publicly confessed my faith. I had found the suffering and bleeding Christ crucified on the hill of Calvary. He loved me and managed to save me from my loneliness. I made new dear friends, and life was more exciting. Faith guided my choices in life.
From Calvary, I traveled a long way to Gay Gambrini. I opened its door at the age of 31. For sixteen years, I had denied myself and carried my cross. Now, being myself, I started a new life. I found a new kind of love, and many of my friends changed. What should I think about religion now?
From the reader: "Vivid text and relentless humor. A ruthlessly honest investigation on searching and finding oneself. Never bitter, but, even when criticizing, with a gentle twinkle in the eye. An in-depth and touching journey of life. Thank you for the honor of having been able to take part in your journey and now being included in this story."

That April Night
It felt so natural, so very right
That very special April night
Thirty years ago tonight
I kissed a guy in the disco light
The first time in my life
And I spent the night
And many more with my knight
I was finally who I am
And who I am I always was
Even before I understood
That very special April night
Thirty years ago tonight
I kissed a guy in the disco light
The first time in my life
And I spent the night
And many more with my knight
I was finally who I am
And who I am I always was
Even before I understood

Legal Committee
Finland's fame
Is full of shame
It's like supporting the beast
In the east
To say the least

May the Gay Marry
Venezuela is bleeding in flames
In Ukraine, it's the same
Finland still debates
Whether gay marriage is a shame
Whether gay marriage is a shame

Päivi Degrades the Gay
People leave the church for her sake
Päivi shoots with the Bible
Making it her holy rifle
Päivi says "no, no, no"
To heaven she wants to go
Who is the disordered
Talking about disorders?
Pity on people of her kind
To love they seem to be blind
It's so hard to live in the world today
Where families are built even by the gay
Because of the gay
Human relationships are richer, I would say
They enrich science and art
Keep this in your heart

The Gay Debate
I had to live a long life
To see the gay debate alive
Dr. Räsänen presented her illusions
People drew their conclusions
Some idiotic hypocrites
Know so well the holy scripts
They knock down your self-esteem
And condemn the gays to hell, it seems
Although man is saved by grace
Some people cannot slow their pace
When judging the others
Those who aren't their biblical brothers
The kinds of Räsänen can't hurt me now
Even if they tell me what and how
The hurt came from my closest friends
They wanted our friendship to end
Our friendship was suddenly finished
To zero it was diminished
I was condemned to hell
Through the phone I heard someone yell
Because I called myself a brother
And had become someone other
They could no longer be with me
Not eat with me or talk to me
This was forbidden by the Bible
The holy book so noble
So much used an quoted
In sex so highly cited
Just when I needed my friends the most
I became some kind of ghost
They left me alone
Quoting the Bible over the phone
When I said hello on the street
I felt hurt indeed
My friend turned away her face
At a very hasty pace
As they so much loved the Christ
They pushed their neighbor aside
They sent Jesus away
When they left me so easily that day
I missed them long alright
During the day and in my dreams at night
But where was the friendship?
Its deepness in this hardship?
When people yell about hell
They create it for others quite well
But it's hell we should forget
And build heaven on earth instead
