Three Bikers on the Road

We three bikers
One Suzuki and two Vespa riders
Rode 400 kilometers in one day
Spent eleven hours on the way

Who would've known
Anne's Vespa was not her own
Neither was my rice rocket really mine
But I rode it just fine

We rode on some curvy roads
Carrying our light loads
On our way to the summer home
To Jerusalem, not Rome

In Somero we hit the brakes
And had a coffee break
In Pori we had lunch
And ate a whole bunch

We bought a box of wine
For later that night
We rode by the market square
In this town of the bear

Among some other sights
Was a huge church on our right
The Kirjurinluoto Island was as pretty as ever
When we rode along the river

Then we went to see
The wide sands of the Yyteri beach
The Mäntyluoto windmills
Gave us the chills

So did the scenic road north and eastbound
Through the maritime parts of the town
From there we took a small pretty road
To Merikarvia on the coast

After coffee we went to the highway
Since it was getting late
Kristiinankaupunki was our destination
On this little vacation

At the summer home that Wednesday night
Sauna, sea, sausage and wine felt right
The atmosphere was great
We went to sleep quite late

We spent Thursday by the sea
And went to cruise the city streets
The wood church was nice to see
Before we went to eat

On Friday we rode back down
Through Isojoki, my home town
To Kankaanpää, further south
Where I turned around

I returned to Ostrobotnia alone
The ladies continued back home
In Humppila they had a break
That's were they ate

They hurried home to their cat
To make it fat
I decided to stay
For four more days
