Yellow was the color of the New Year
In Peru, to me so dear
The music was cheerful
The atmosphere was wonderful
At midnight we hugged everyone
Walked over fire one by one
Ran up and down the street
For good luck in traveling, you see
The generations danced together
With everyone around its always better
The Latin style and music
Are really fantastic
