Fireworks zoom
Defeating the gloom
When the year ends
I'm surrounded by friends
The new year arrivesWith laughter in the eyes
I'm happy with the past year
In many ways it was dear
And it gave a lyrical thrust
With poetic faith and trust
Thank you, dear reader
